“Bensons current body of work focuses on the existing definition of masculinity. His subversive interpretation of gender asks guys and girls alike to redefine their expectations of what it takes to be a man. In the performance Windswept, Benson plays with the elemental properties of wind using an his hair and a series of free flowing props and costume pieces in order to farther romanticize his interpretation of masculinity.”
