Outside Wall Work #22_Factory 49_black paint and cloth adhesive tape_dimensions variable
Gary Deirmendjian has been invited to created an outdoor site specific intervention at Factory 49 as part of their exhibition program.
Artist Statement:
"The work consisted simply of blackening the
exposed plumbing network beneath the ceiling and certain I-beam and
concrete planes and edges, towards a compositional resolution.
It is objectively titled in accordance with the Factory 49 naming system - simply the 22nd work to have taken shape there.
As an entirely site specific proposition it
takes its form and title entirely by the givens of the site - building
and Gallery respectively."
This work can be viewed in the car park 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
