Stevie Fieldsend_Solve et Coagula installation shot_glass and wood
Artereal Gallery would like to congratulate Stevie Fieldsend on winning the 2012 Sculpture in the Vineyards Award! Stevie was awarded the Noyce Bros Wines Award for Innovation in Materials and Method for her installation piece Solve et Coagula.
The judges for the 2012 prize were; internationally renowned artist Dani Marti; Sarah Johnson, Senior Curator at Newcastle Art Gallery; and John Barnes, Director of Cessnock Regional Art Gallery. The judges described Stevie's work as having an "exquisite finish and sensuality, which bring up poetic readings of the work", as well as evidencing levels of "complex thinking and technical process."
This year Sculpture in the Vineyards are celebrating their 10th Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition with over 100 artworks, which will be on display along the Wollombi Valley Wine Trail, from 3 November - 3 December 2012.
