Glen Henderson has been invited to screen her new media work The Grevillea Variations at Federation Square in Melbourne on 14 August 2014.
Glen Henderson’s moving image artwork, The Grevillea Variations, provides an inventive colourful celebration of Australian Native Flora. The quirky, funny, and beautiful portraits of one of Australia's beloved native flowers is celebrated against her interpretative sculptural formations and surface patterning.
The Grevillea Variations present a spectacular visual journey. The inspiration is taken from the unique personalities of 18 different varieties of Grevillea, forming motifs on the botanical names - Kennedyana, Chrithmifolia, Paradoxa, Sericea, Thelemanniana, to name a few.
