CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS / 'IS THIS ART?' SCREENING PROGRAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH DLUX MEDIA ARTS

From May this year, dLux Media Arts will be partnering with Artereal Gallery to show a quarterly screening program of moving image works, curated by Rhys Votano of dLux Media Arts.

Titled – IS THIS ART? each program will push the boundaries of art as we know it. Themed screenings of student works will be drawn from the disciplines of film, video art and other screen based moving image works.

This program will link art audiences with exciting new works by emerging creative practitioners and will incorporate video artworks by established contemporary artists from the Artereal stable. Audiences will benefit from an opportunity to revisit well-known and new works by established contemporary Australian video artists, as well as discover the latest works by emerging practitioners.

For students and emerging practitioners, this will be a valuable professional development opportunity, providing a rare opportunity to gain exposure for their works in a formal gallery environment and to exhibit alongside established and well known Australian contemporary artists who are represented by Artereal.

Join us for the inaugural screening program at in the outdoor space, Artereal Gallery carpark on Wednesday 7 May 2014. Artists to be announced soon!

CALL OUT FOR SUBMISSIONS: We want you! Create a work, write a 250-500 word artist statement and email your bio to submissions@dlux.org.au
