Carla Hananiah, Refuge, 2009, oil on board, 91.5 x 122 cm
Issue 25, the latest edition of Australian Art Review contains a three page article on Artereal artist Carla Hananiah. The article follows on from Carla's recent interview with arts writer Annemarie Lopez and discusses Carla's latest body of work Sublime which was exhibited at Artereal in April.
Carla's work has always been strongly influenced by music, a point which is illustrated through videos which show layer by layer how Carla paints and layers each work. The musical score for these films have been composed by Isaac Hananiah, Carla's husband.
